NEET UG 2026 Merit List Released: What You Need to Know
The NEET UG 2026 state-wise merit lists have been released, with the Department of Health and Family Welfare Services, Puducherry, publishing its list on health.py.gov.in. This year's merit list has garnered significant attention due to the inclusion of candidates who scored between -1 and -23 marks. While these candidates are on the list, their negative scores do not guarantee an MBBS seat.
A total of 10 candidates have received negative marks, ranking between 4707 and 4716. The highest score recorded in the Puducherry list is 670 marks by Krishanth Abhinav M, who holds an AIR of 553. Praveen A secured the second spot with 646 marks (AIR 1721), followed by Ramaneeshwar A with 646 marks (AIR 1756).
Candidates who have objections to the released merit list can submit them via email to DMS@PY.GOV.IN until August 5, 2026. Following this, the NEET UG counselling registration is set to begin on August 5, 2026, with the last date to apply being August 12, 2026. Choice filling will commence on August 6 and conclude on August 13, 2026. The seat allotment results will be announced on August 17, and selected candidates must report to their allotted institutes between August 18 and August 22, 2026.
