NIFT Entrance Exam 2027: Online Applications Open for UG, PG, and Ph.D. Programmes

The National Testing Agency (NTA), on behalf of the National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT), has started the online application process for the NIFT Entrance Examination (NIFTEE) 2027. This examination is for admission to various Undergraduate (UG), Postgraduate (PG), NIFT Lateral Entry Admissions (NLEA), Artisans, and Ph.D. programmes for the academic session 2027-28.

Candidates interested in pursuing a career in fashion technology and design can apply for programmes like B.Des., B.F.Tech., M.Des., M.F.M., and M.F.Tech. The NIFTEE 2027 will be conducted in two stages: Stage 1 involves a Computer Based Test (CBT) for the General Ability Test (GAT) and a Pen-and-Paper Based Test (PBT) for the Creative Ability Test (CAT), as applicable to the specific programme. Ph.D. candidates will undergo a Written Test followed by a Research Proposal Presentation and Interview (RPPI).

It is crucial for all applicants to carefully review the NIFT Admissions Guidelines 2027 and the NIFTEE 2027 Information Bulletin. These documents contain detailed information on eligibility criteria, including age limits, educational qualifications, and category-specific requirements. NRI/Foreign National/OCI/PIO/SAARC candidates should also refer to these guidelines for their specific application norms. The application window closes on November 16, 2026, without a late fee, and on November 21, 2026, with a late fee of ₹5000.

The examination is proposed to be held in 100 cities across India on January 10, 2027. Candidates must upload a recent photograph, signature, and other required documents in the specified format. PwD/PwBD candidates need to upload a valid UDID Card. The admit cards will be available for download from January 4, 2027.
