UPSC CSE Mains Result 2026 Declared
The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has announced the Civil Services (Main) Examination 2026 result on November 5, 2026. Candidates who appeared for the Mains exam, held from August 21 to August 30, 2026, can now download the merit list PDF. A total of 2,526 candidates have provisionally qualified for the Personality Test (Interview) stage.
The result is available in PDF format, listing the roll numbers of the shortlisted candidates. A separate name-wise result facility is also provided on the UPSC website for cross-verification. Candidates are advised to download the official result PDF and search for their roll number to confirm their qualification.
All qualified candidates must complete a mandatory online application update and submission process through upsconline.nic.in. This window is open from November 11, 2026, to November 25, 2026, until 6:00 PM. Even if no information needs to be changed, candidates must log in, verify their details, and finally submit the form. Failure to complete this step will lead to the non-issuance of the Personality Test e-Summon Letter.
This result is a crucial step towards recruitment for various prestigious Central Government services, including the Indian Administrative Service (IAS), Indian Foreign Service (IFS), and Indian Police Service (IPS).
