MCC AIQ NEET UG Counselling 2026: Key Dates and Process
The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has announced the dates for NEET UG Counselling 2026 for the 15% All India Quota (AIQ) seats. Online registration for AIQ counselling will commence from August 5, 2026. Students aspiring for admission to MBBS/BDS courses through the AIQ must register on the official MCC portal within the specified timeline.
The first round of seat allotment results is expected on August 17, 2026. Following this, candidates who are allotted seats will need to report to their respective colleges between August 18 and August 22, 2026. It is crucial for candidates to complete the choice filling and locking process between August 6 and August 13 to be considered for seat allotment.
Additionally, the state-level counselling for the remaining 85% seats is scheduled to begin from August 13, 2026. States typically release their first-round seat allotment results only after the conclusion of the AIQ Round 1. This year, the National Medical Commission (NMC) has introduced significant changes, including the 'Float' option for seat upgrades, which eliminates the need for physical reporting and document verification at the college for such candidates. Candidates are advised to carefully review the official counselling dates PDF for detailed information on Round 2, Round 3, and stray vacancy rounds to avoid missing any deadlines.
