NEET Stray Vacancy Round 2026: Last Chance for MBBS/BDS Admission
The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has announced the schedule for the NEET Stray Vacancy Round 2026, which is the final stage of the counselling process to fill remaining vacant seats in MBBS, BDS, and B.Sc. Nursing programs. This round offers a crucial last opportunity for eligible candidates who have not yet secured admission in previous rounds.
The entire Stray Vacancy Round will be conducted online. Candidates must complete their registration, fee payment, choice filling, and choice locking within the stipulated dates. The registration window opens on 28 September 2026 and closes on 30 September 2026 at 3:00 PM, with payment facility available until 6:00 PM on the same day. Choice locking will be active on 30 September 2026 from 4:00 PM to 11:00 PM.
Seat allotment processing will take place on 1 and 2 October 2026, and the results will be declared on 3 October 2026. Candidates who are allotted seats must report to their respective institutes for admission between 4 October and 10 October 2026. It is essential to adhere strictly to these deadlines to avoid missing out on this final admission opportunity. This round covers 15% All India Quota (AIQ) MBBS/BDS seats, as well as seats in Deemed Universities, Central Universities, AIIMS, JIPMER, and B.Sc. Nursing courses.
