NEET UG 2026 Counselling Round 1 Schedule Revised

The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has released a revised schedule for the NEET UG 2026 All India Quota (AIQ) and State Quota Round 1 counselling. This update is crucial for all candidates aspiring for admission to MBBS/BDS courses across India, including Deemed and Central Universities, as well as state medical colleges.

According to the new notification, the counselling period for the All India Quota, Deemed, and Central Universities Round 1 concluded on August 21, 2026. Candidates who have been allotted seats under this quota must complete their joining process by August 31, 2026. Following this, the MCC will verify the data of joined candidates by September 1, 2026.

For the State Quota counselling, Round 1 concluded on August 27, 2026. The last date for joining for candidates allotted seats under the State Quota is September 5, 2026. State Directorates of Medical Education (DMEs) and State Counselling Authorities will verify the data of joined candidates by September 6, 2026. It is important for all participating institutes and colleges to note that Saturdays, Sundays, and Gazetted Holidays will be treated as working days to ensure timely completion of the counselling process.
