BSEB STET 2026 Exam Postponed: New Date November 21
The Bihar School Examination Board (BSEB) has announced a postponement for the Secondary Teacher Eligibility Test (STET) 2026 examination, originally scheduled for November 4. This change is due to a conflict with the Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan (KVS) and Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti (NVS) recruitment examinations. The affected STET paper will now be conducted on November 21, 2026.
Candidates who were scheduled to appear for the exam on the original date should note this revised schedule carefully. All other STET 2026 examinations scheduled on different dates will proceed as per the existing timetable. It is crucial for candidates to verify their revised schedule and admit card details before the examination.
BSEB will issue a revised admit card for those appearing in the November 21 examination. This updated admit card will be available for download from October 24, 2026, on the official website, stetregistration.cbrt.co.in. Candidates are strongly advised to download the new admit card and thoroughly check the examination date, centre, and all other relevant details to avoid any last-minute confusion.
The STET examination is vital for assessing the eligibility of candidates aspiring to teaching positions in government schools across Bihar for Classes 9 and 10, as well as Classes 11 and 12. The paper comprises 150 marks, divided into subject-specific content and teaching arts along with other competencies. Each correct answer fetches one mark, and importantly, there is no negative marking in the STET 2026 scheme. Candidates should regularly monitor the official BSEB website for any further announcements.
