CSIR UGC NET December 2026 Application Process Begins
The National Testing Agency (NTA) has officially opened the online application window for the Joint CSIR-UGC NET Examination December 2026. This examination is crucial for Indian nationals aspiring for Junior Research Fellowships, Assistant Professor positions, or Ph.D. admissions in various Indian universities and colleges. The exam will be conducted in Computer Based Test (CBT) mode across multiple shifts.
Candidates interested in applying must visit the official NTA CSIR NET website, csirnet.nta.nic.in, to submit their applications. The application window is open from October 07, 2026, to November 05, 2026. It is highly recommended to complete the application process well before the deadline to avoid any last-minute technical issues. A late application option with an additional fee of Rs. 500/- is available from November 06 to November 09, 2026.
The examination is scheduled for December 19, 22, and 27, 2026. The test will be 180 minutes (3 hours) long, with two shifts: 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 Noon and 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. The question paper will be bilingual, available in both English and Hindi, covering subjects like Chemical Sciences, Earth, Atmospheric, Ocean and Planetary Sciences, Life Sciences and Bio-Technology, Mathematical Sciences, and Physical Sciences.
