UGC NET June 2026 Exam Dates Announced
The National Testing Agency (NTA) has officially released the exam dates and subject-wise schedule for the UGC NET June 2026 examination. The exam is scheduled to be conducted from 22nd June 2026 to 30th June 2026 in Computer-Based Test (CBT) mode. This examination is crucial for Indian nationals aspiring for Junior Research Fellowship (JRF), appointment as an assistant professor, and admission to Ph.D. programs across universities and colleges in India.
A significant update concerns candidates at the CT Group of Institutions Centre in Jalandhar. Due to technical issues during the Shift-I exam on 22nd June 2026, NTA has cancelled this particular shift for the affected centre. These candidates will get another opportunity to appear for a re-examination on Sunday, 5th July 2026, at 03:00 PM at the same venue. Revised admit cards will be issued for these candidates with further details. All other candidates should refer to their original admit cards for their exam schedule and centre details.
The exam will be held in two shifts: Shift 1 from 09:00 AM to 12:00 PM and Shift 2 from 03:00 PM to 06:00 PM. Each paper will have a duration of 180 minutes (3 hours) with no break between Paper 1 and Paper 2. Candidates are strongly advised to regularly check the official NTA website for any further updates regarding the examination.
