NEET (UG) 2026 Re-Examination Biometric Verification Advisory
The National Testing Agency (NTA) has issued an important advisory regarding biometric verification for the NEET (UG) 2026 Re-Examination, scheduled for June 21, 2026. This notice outlines the mandatory biometric verification process and exceptions for candidates appearing for the re-examination.
As part of enhanced security protocols, all candidates must undergo biometric verification before entering the examination room. This process will take place after the mandatory frisking and before the exam begins. Candidates will not be disturbed for biometric processing during the active examination period.
Exception Protocol: If biometric verification cannot be completed due to device hardware failure, poor biometric data quality, UIDAI server connectivity issues, or a candidate's physical inability, they will still be allowed to appear for the exam. However, such candidates must sign a written undertaking at the examination centre. The format for this undertaking will be provided by the Centre Superintendent.
Candidates are urged to cooperate fully with examination staff and security personnel. Refusal to undergo biometric verification without a valid documented reason will be considered a violation of examination norms and may lead to action under the Public Examinations (Prevention of Unfair Means) Act, 2024.
The re-examination will be held from 02:00 PM to 05:15 PM. For eligible PwD/PwBD candidates entitled to compensatory time, the exam will extend up to 06:20 PM.

अपवाद प्रोटोकॉल: यदि डिवाइस हार्डवेयर विफलता, खराब बायोमेट्रिक डेटा गुणवत्ता, यूआईडीएआई सर्वर कनेक्टिविटी समस्याओं, या उम्मीदवार की बायोमेट्रिक डेटा प्रदान करने की शारीरिक अक्षमता के कारण बायोमेट्रिक सत्यापन पूरा नहीं हो पाता है, तो भी उन्हें परीक्षा में बैठने की अनुमति दी जाएगी। हालांकि, ऐसे उम्मीदवारों को परीक्षा केंद्र पर एक लिखित वचन देना होगा। इस वचन का प्रारूप केंद्र अधीक्षक द्वारा प्रदान किया जाएगा।
उम्मीदवारों से आग्रह किया जाता है कि वे बायोमेट्रिक सत्यापन प्रक्रिया के दौरान परीक्षा कर्मचारियों और सुरक्षा कर्मियों के साथ पूर्ण सहयोग करें। वैध दस्तावेजी कारण के बिना बायोमेट्रिक सत्यापन से इनकार को परीक्षा मानदंडों का उल्लंघन माना जाएगा और सार्वजनिक परीक्षा (अनुचित साधनों की रोकथाम) अधिनियम, 2024 के प्रावधानों के अनुसार कार्रवाई की जा सकती है।
पुन: परीक्षा दोपहर 02:00 बजे से शाम 05:15 बजे तक आयोजित की जाएगी। क्षतिपूर्ति समय के हकदार पात्र पीडब्ल्यूडी/पीडब्ल्यूबीडी उम्मीदवारों के लिए, परीक्षा की अवधि शाम 06:20 बजे तक बढ़ाई जाएगी।
