Bihar Police Constable Result 2026 Declared
The Central Selection Board of Constable (CSBC), Bihar, has announced the results for the written examination conducted for the recruitment of Prohibition Constables, Warders (Kakshpal), and Mobile Squad Constables. Candidates who appeared for the exam can now check their results on the official CSBC website, csbc.bihar.gov.in.
This recruitment drive aims to fill 4,236 vacancies across various state departments. Initially, 4,128 vacancies were announced, which were later revised to include 94 additional posts for Prohibition Constables and 14 for Warders. The revised breakdown includes 1,697 Prohibition Constable posts, 2,431 Warder posts, and 108 Mobile Squad Constable posts.
A total of 11,43,855 candidates registered for the examination, with 11,04,473 applications deemed valid after scrutiny. The written examination was held in two shifts on June 14, 2026, and June 17, 2026, across 544 centres in all 38 districts of Bihar. Out of the valid applicants, 5,34,735 candidates appeared for the exam. After disqualifying 80 candidates for misconduct, the answer sheets of 5,34,669 candidates were evaluated.
According to the recruitment rules, candidates needed to secure at least 30% marks in the written examination. The selection process aimed to shortlist five times the number of available vacancies for the Physical Efficiency Test (PET) and Physical Standard Test (PST). However, due to an insufficient number of eligible candidates for ex-servicemen and Home Guard reserved seats, these remaining positions were filled by non-Home Guard candidates as per the rules.
A total of 19,681 candidates have successfully qualified for the PET and PST rounds. This includes candidates who scored marks equal to the cut-off. Women candidates, who are natives of Bihar, have been provided 35% horizontal reservation as per the recruitment rules, which was applied during the preparation of the shortlist. The next stage for qualified candidates will involve physical testing, including a race, high jump, shot put, and physical measurements.
