GAT-B 2026 Score and Rank Card Released by NTA
The National Testing Agency (NTA) has officially declared the Graduate Aptitude Test- Biotechnology (GAT-B) 2026 result. Candidates who appeared for the exam can now download their scorecards and rank cards from the official NTA GAT-B portal. This is a crucial step for all aspirants seeking admission to DBT-supported postgraduate programs in Biotechnology and allied sciences.
The GAT-B 2026 examination was conducted on May 17, 2026, in a Computer-Based Test (CBT) mode. The result was declared on June 10, 2026, followed by the release of score and rank cards on June 25, 2026. It is important for candidates to download and save these documents as they will be required during the admission process.
Institute-level counseling for admissions has already commenced in the third week of June 2026 and is expected to continue through July 2026. Unlike many other entrance exams, GAT-B does not have a centralized counseling process. Instead, each DBT-supported institute conducts its own shortlisting, document verification, and interview rounds. Therefore, candidates must actively check the websites of their preferred institutes for specific counseling schedules and requirements. Missing an institute's deadline could mean missing out on a seat, even with a good rank.
Qualified candidates admitted to these programs are eligible for monthly stipends, which vary by course: Rs. 5,000 for M.Sc. Biotechnology & Allied Sciences, Rs. 7,500 for M.Sc. Agricultural Biotechnology, and Rs. 12,000 for M.Tech. and M.V.Sc. programs. Ensure all required documents are ready for the institute-level counseling.
